Carole Conatser | Print |
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carole Conatser is a graduate of Western Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati School of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning with degrees in Fine Art and Art Education.  She has taught art to grades K-12 in Cincinnati, N. Dearborn, Indiana, and in Amherst, Massachusetts. She furthered her study of Ceramics at Syracuse University, Youngstown State University, and Anderson Ranch at Snowmass, Colorado.  At the latter, she studied with noted ceramic artists, Paul Soldner and Peter Voulkos, both of whom were the "fathers" of Abstract Expressionism in the realm of clay sculpture and vessels.

Carole exhibits her work in the juried shows in this area at the Butler Institute of American Art Area Artists Exhibition, the YWCA Annual Celebrations of Women Artists Exhibition winning "Best Group of Work." She regularly shows in the International Liturgical Art Guild Biennials at the Schumacher Gallery of Art, Capital University, Columbus, Ohio where she has won a several awards, including "Best of Show".  

Along with 2 other women, Carole was a part of "Three Voices in Clay" an exhibition of ceramics work at Bliss Gallery, Youngstown State University and has had work accepted in galleries concurrent with NCECA, a national conference for ceramic educators, in Columbus and Denver, Colorado. In the fall of 2003, her "Kosovo Angel" took "Best of Show" at The Edge Gallery, Cleveland Ohio.  In 2005 she exhibited her solo show at the Weller Gallery, located at the Davis Educational Center, Fellows Riverside Gardens, Youngstown, Ohio, titled Earth Songs. Her current exhibition at Shelton - Mathews is called Earth Songs II.

Carole is an independent consultant and District Manager of Arbonne International, a company that offers Swiss-formulated, made in the USA botannically-based skin care, aromatherapy, weight loss, cosmetics, and health and wellness products that are pure, safe and beneficial.
