We welcome Jan Crews as our new accompanist this season!

Stambaugh Chorus will begin its new season on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010 at 6:30pm in the Ballroom at Stambaugh Auditorium with a pot luck dinner.

Regular rehearsal begin on September 7, at 7:30 pm.

The Chorus will continue to accept new members through the month of September.

Fund Rasiers

• Ongoing Avon Fund Raiser
• A Night at the Races Fund Raiser on Friday, October 8, 2010.
• Stambaugh Chorus Book Fair at Barnes & Noble in Boardman on November 20, 2010 as a fund-raiser with entertainment. Portion of Sales proceeds that day will go to Stambaugh Chorus if a customer has a flier or states they are in support of our book fair.

Performances

• Various Outreach activities during the holidays to be announced
• Verdi’s “La Traviata” on November 12, 2010 with Opera Western Reserve.
• Our Holiday Concert will be in collaboration with the Dana School of Music presentation of Carols and Cocoa on December 1, 2010 at Stambaugh Auditorium. The concert will feature Poulenc’s “Gloria” and other seasonal music.
• In January the Chorus will resume rehearsal and will again hold limited auditions for the debut of a Choral Festival entitled Peace Concert on April 10, 2011 featuring a joint effort with area choirs at Stambaugh Auditorium as well as a
• Spring Concert titled Americana on May 22, 2011.
