“I grew up with a musical family that had sing-along parties and whose parents and grandparents were in bands and barbershop groups. I went to a school with no choir, so band was my life. I always sang, but never in a group. Recently, I became an empty nester and missed the camaraderie of being part of a performing group but I wanted a challenge. I knew of Stambaugh Chorus when I used to listen to their rehearsals while my daughter was in Stambaugh youth band. So I went to my first rehearsal last September and met many friendly and helpful people for my first foray into group singing. I found that I had missed performing and this has become something I look forward to attending every week.
