The Stambaugh Chorus is accepting new members for the 2015-2016 season. Under the direction of Dr Hae-Jong Lee, Stambaugh Chorus will begin its new season on Tuesday August 25, 2015, at 6:30pm in the Ballroom at Stambaugh Auditorium with a potluck dinner. The Chorus will continue to accept new members through the month of September. Our first project will be A Night at the Races Fund Raiser in October. Upcoming concerts include participation in Opera Western Reserve’s “Elixir of Love“ on November 13th 2015. Our Holiday Concert will be in collaboration with the Dana School of Music’s presentation of Carols and Cocoa on December 2, 2015, at Stambaugh Auditorium. The concert will feature Vivaldi’s “Magnificat in G Minor” and other seasonal music. On December 13, 2015, Stambaugh Chorus and the Youngstown Area Community Concert Band will hold their fifth Holiday Concert of Giving to benefit Second Harvest.

In January 2016, the Chorus will resume rehearsal and will again hold limited auditions. An early Spring program is planned April 3, 2016 and on May 20th 2016, Stambaugh Chorus will present Faure’s “Requiem” as part of a peace themed concert involving local high school and children’s choirs at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Throughout the season Stambaugh Chorus will continue to participate in Outreach Programs at various nursing homes and other venues as we are invited.
