A Concert of Music and Love

The Stambaugh Chorus under the direction of Dr. Hae-Jong Lee, will present a Mid-winter Concert on
Sunday, March 7, 2010, at 4:00pm at
Stambaugh Auditorium
1000 Fifth Avenue in Youngstown, Ohio. (Mapquest Map)

Joo-Hwa Lee will accompany.

The Program will feature: Go Where I Send Thee, Caldwell & Ivory; I Have Had Singing, Jeffers; When I Hear Music, M. Martin; O Music,  Brunner; Prayer of St. Francis, Allen Pote; The Awakening, J. Martin; In te Domine speravi, Buxtehude; Tantum ergo, Mozart;  selections from Carmina Burana by Orff and selections from Handel’s Messiah.

A reception will follow the concert.
Tickets are $10 at the door. Advance reservations are Buy One Ticket-Get One Free (2 for $10).
College students with ID and youths, high school age and younger will be admitted free.

Chorus prepares for busy winter and spring

A busy winter rehearsal schedule is underway for upcoming concerts at Stambaugh Auditorium.

On March 7th, Stambaugh Chorus will perform “Music & Love” under the direction of Hae-Jong Lee at 4 pm.A reception will follow the concert.

On April 28th the Chorus will join ensembles from Youngstown State University to perform Orff’s Carmina Burana under the direction of Stephen Gage.

The Chorus has also been invited to present an outreach performance at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Youngstown, Ohio on May 3rd.

Briarfield at the Ridge December 15, 2009

The Chorus was invited again to entertain the residents of Briarfield at the Ridge Convalescent home in Mineral Ridge, Ohio.

On December 15, 2009, a concert was presented to a warm and welcoming crowd.

Several Chorus members commented that this intimate outreach performance was the highlight of our season thus far.
