The Stambaugh Chorus is thrilled to announce its 60th season, and welcomes local singers to join us as we celebrate the Chorus’s legacy in the Mahoning Valley fine arts community. Highlights will include the inaugural Stambaugh Hymn Festival, which features the newly renovated Skinner organ; two joint performances with the Youngstown Area Community Concert band; a performance of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, in collaboration with the Dana Symphony Orchestra and Dana School of Music faculty; a performance of the final movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 (“Ode to Joy”), in collaboration with the Dana Symphony Orchestra and the Dana Symphony Orchestra, and we will close our season with a full performance of Karl Jenkins’ most popular work, “The Armed Man.” All performances will be held at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Interested singers are invited to join us for a potluck dinner and rehearsal in the ballroom of Youngstown’s historic Stambaugh Auditorium on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. This rehearsal is open to anyone wishing to learn more about the Chorus.
