The Stambaugh Chorus is accepting new members for the 2014-2015 season. Under the direction of Dr Hae-Jong Lee, Stambaugh Chorus will begin its new season on Tuesday August 26th 2014 at 6:30pm in the Ballroom at Stambaugh Auditorium with a potluck dinner. The Chorus will continue to accept new members through the month of September.

Our first project will be A Night at the Races Fund Raiser on Friday October 24th 2014. Upcoming concerts include participation in Opera Western Reserve’s “Don Giovanni“ on November 14th 2014. Our Holiday Concert will be in collaboration with the Dana School of Music’s presentation of Carols and Cocoa on December 3rd 2014 at Stambaugh Auditorium. The concert will feature selections from Handel’s “Messiah” and other seasonal music. On December 6th 2014 Stambaugh Chorus and Youngstown Area Community Concert Band will hold their fourth Holiday Concert of Giving to benefit Second Harvest.

In January 2015, the Chorus will resume rehearsal and will again hold limited auditions. The early Spring program includes a Mahler Concert with the Dana School of Music ensembles on April 24th, 2015 and on May 17th 2015, “Musical and Oratorio” celebrating the 50th anniversary of the “Sound of Music” and Haydn’s “Creation”.

Throughout the season Stambaugh Chorus will continue to participate in Outreach Programs at various nursing homes, Fellows Riverside Gardens, and other venues as we are invited.
